Compassion can motivate us to prevent and alleviate the suffering in the world. We are so honored to have the support of Dr. Kristin Neff who reminds us that self-compassion can help us tap into extending compassion to others. Having compassion for others is a gift. It can be difficult to "walk a mile" as someone else or "see through their eyes" when understanding a situation. At Beacon, we truly want others to live their best life. To do so, we need to understand from the other person's perspective. That's why compassionate care is so important to us. Positive changes occur when we strive to understand the various perspectives of others. If you'd like to learn more about Beacon and how we stand apart from other companies with our caring programs, follow the link: https://bit.ly/46dL8V6. Going the extra mile, meeting each Individual exactly where they are at, building a special bond, and growing together, that's what each day and life is all about.

Patriotic holidays can evoke strong feelings about what it means to be free. As we express gratitude for our personal and collective freedoms, we can also use compassion to empathize with those for whom freedom is still a fight. Whether it’s a struggle to live authentically or a quest for political liberation, people all around the world want to be free in one way or another. 🎧 Take a few moments to practice with Ronné Wingate Sims, MDiv, DMin below or in our free Healthy Minds Program App! https://lnkd.in/d_gTzer

Greetings from Aegis Living Fremont! This is Haydee. A long time caregiver at Aegis Living and part time theologian. I’ve heard different members of the team talk about Haydee and her compassion for others. I met her for the first time this week and let’s just say it was nothing short of how the way her peers described her. During my conversation with Haydee, these were my 3 takeaways I wanted to share with you: 1. Joy is a choice. 2. Life is fragile and short. We have little time here on earth and what we do with that time is important. 3. Service starts with knowing our convictions about what and who we serve. Haydee knows that one day she too will age and her body will slow down. And she knows that she will one day need the same help she gives to our residents. That doesn’t scare Haydee. In fact, it calls her into action. To respond urgently, courageously, and with compassion. May Haydee serve as a reminder and a call to serve joyfully, willingly, and with humility.

Supporting you in finding clarity around death, dying & grief. Death Doula/ End of Life Coach/ Caregiver Support Coach [email protected]
Join me for an enlightening in-person one-hour workshop titled “Cultivating a Death-Positive Culture”. (link below to register) Prepare to engage in meaningful conversations, expand your knowledge, and challenge preconceived notions about death. During this workshop, we will delve into the world of death doulas and their vital role in end-of-life care. The workshop focuses on the idea of adopting a more positive perspective on death, openly embracing it, and drawing inspiration from cultures with constructive views on mortality. These cultures emphasize that death is a natural and inherent part of life. Rather than fearing and avoiding it, they recognize and accept it as an essential aspect of our existence. By celebrating life, building community support, participating in meaningful rituals, and encouraging open discussions about death, these cultures offer valuable lessons for individuals seeking to approach mortality gracefully and with understanding. There will be time for an individual reflection activity that complements these concepts by guiding you on a personal journey of introspection. I invite you to envision a world that is more open and accepting when it comes to mortality. Details: Date: Sunday 10/29 Time: 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm Location: My Fair Trade Lady, 531 Station Ave. Haddon Heights, NJ 08035 Price: $18
