Diversity matters in CPR training! According to EMS1, a recent study highlights the lack of representation in manikins used by CPR education organizations on social media. In fact, fewer than 10% of the images represented Black or Asian people. CPR Taylor offers a solution, representing all genders and races. Prepare your students to respond to any cardiac emergency by training with CPR Taylor. February is National Heart Month 🫀 When doing the monthly content research for the Health and Wellbeing Committee, I came across a fantastic tool from British Heart Foundation I wanted to share! RevivR is a free online CPR training course, where you get a chance to practice CPR (and get real time feedback), take a simulated 999 call, learn how to use a defibrillator... all in 15 minutes! You just need a phone and a cushion, and in return you'll get your own certificate 📃 Each year over 30,000 people have an out of hospital cardiac arrest in the UK, with less than 1 in 10 surviving - giving CPR and using a defibrillator can more than double someone's chance of survival! You never know when you may find yourself in an emergency situation and need to give CPR - it may save the life of a friend or family member! Please consider giving it a go and sharing with your friends and family too: https://revivr.bhf.org.uk/ #BHF #HeartHealth #HealthandWellbeing

I was on NTA 2 on Saturday, where i spoke extensively on the importance of life-saving skills with a practical demonstration of CPR. In today's unpredictable world, learning life-saving skills such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is crucial for everyone, whether at home, in religious institutions, or workplaces. These skills can mean the difference between life and death during emergencies. CPR is vital because it helps maintain blood flow to the brain and vital organs when someone's heart stops beating. Immediate CPR can double or even triple a victim's chance of survival. The "Chain of Survival" emphasizes the importance of timely intervention: early recognition of cardiac arrest, immediate CPR, rapid defibrillation, and advanced medical care. Each link in this chain is essential for improving survival rates. By equipping ourselves with these skills, we foster a safer environment in our communities. Whether it's a family member, a congregant, or a colleague, being prepared to act can save lives and create a culture of care and responsibility. #thesafetywise #lifesavingskills #emergencyrepomder #cpr #firstaid
