I am looking for an ops manager for PhoLicious here in Houston Texas! We manufacture and distribute instant pho bowls online and to nationwide retailers. We are seeking someone who is a leadership role now that may want the opportunity to move to another aspect growth. We are looking for a leader that reflects the following qualities. 1. **Leadership Skills**: Effective AGMs lead by example, inspire their team, and manage staff efficiently, ensuring that everyone works towards common goals. 2. **Customer Focus**: A strong emphasis on guest satisfaction is crucial. So goes for our business. Although you won’t have to deal with customers directly, leading the production staff with customer satisfaction in mind will be key. 3. **Communication Skills**: Clear and effective communication with staff, and other stakeholders is essential. This includes listening actively and conveying information accurately. 4. **Problem-Solving Abilities**: this leader should be able to quickly identify and resolve issues, whether they are related to production, staff, or operations. 5. **Organizational Skills**: Managing various tasks and responsibilities efficiently is key. Job interviews are tricky and awkward for everyone, but for neurodiverse people, they’re an active obstacle to gaining employment. I would even say that job interviews expose the innate bias that many neurotypical people are born with against neurodiversity. Think “body language” — one of the many pieces of advice given to people before an interview is to make strong eye contact, a firm handshake, and to sit straight and still. These are all things most autistic people struggle with. One thing autistic people are told time and time again when they reveal their diagnosis is, “Oh, but it’s a superpower! Autism is a superpower!” So why not hire a superhero, then? I would love to bring together a team of neurodiverse individuals to discuss what the solution to this system is.
While in the hiring process we are looking for people who ‘can think outside of the box’ should we not be looking at our own ability to do same… loved this from Cúnla ní Bhraonáin Morris
