We are seeking a driven, creative, collaborative, and highly respected individual who is passionate about public policy, government affairs, regulatory policy, helping patients, innovative science, biotechnology, and public health to serve as Vice President, Policy & Advocacy. The ideal individual for this role should have established relationships with federal officials, legislators, and regulators who make public policy decisions so that BridgeBio can have a voice in important policy discussions and decisions that impact drug development, innovation, and access to treatments.
This position will be a key member of the Policy & Advocacy team, a dynamic team that engages with all departments and business units in the company to address ongoing and emerging policy issues with key stakeholders. Specifically, this role will report to the Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer and involve engaging federal officials and, legislators, staff, and regulators to support BridgeBio's public policy and legislative initiatives. The Vice President, Policy & Advocacy provides strategic expertise to advance BridgeBio’s efforts in government affairs, public policy, and regulatory policy. This strategic role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in policy and advocacy and strong relationships with key legislators and government officials. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive advocacy strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals.

Responsibilities
- The Vice President, Policy & Advocacy will serve as a critical Policy & Advocacy team member with responsibility for relations and collaboration with federal legislators and regulators who make legislative, regulatory policy, and public policy decisions
- The role will involve engaging federal legislators, staff, and regulators, in collaboration with colleagues, to develop, support, and advance BridgeBio’s public policy, regulatory, and legislative initiatives
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a strategic plan for outreach, as well as maintenance of relationships with key federal officials and regulators
- Support policy and advocacy needs for early-stage, late-stage, and product-launch efforts
- Serve as a key advisor in recognizing and prioritizing issues of impact, developing and executing integrated advocacy activities, including full-scale campaigns, advising the company on political finance strategy that aligns with the bipartisan policy goals of the company
- Work with relevant internal stakeholders (e.g. Commercial, Market Access, etc.) to help BridgeBio understand, react, and plan for an evolving legislative landscape, incorporating changes into business and corporate goals
- Work with internal partners to identify allies and opportunities to partner with organizations that are aligned with BridgeBio’s public policy objectives

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, regulatory policy, or related roles
- Degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Proven track record of successful policy advocacy and relationship-building with key legislators and government officials
- Experience leading or supporting product launch activities from a policy perspective is preferred
- Experience at the state and federal level is preferred
- Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Established top-tier relationships are critical
- Knowledge of health care system and key policies relevant to the biopharmaceutical sector
