Responsibilities

As a Vice President – Property Management (Commercial) with Hines, you will manage client relationships, owner, and tenant, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic thought leader to grow business relationships and portfolio revenues. The VPPM will ensure alignment between the organizations service offerings to maximize customer satisfaction and value creation and ensure excellence in operational delivery by providing direction and oversight to management services teams to positively contribute and comprehensively manage the fulfillment of our commitment to their respective clients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Ensure that all properties are properly managed and efficiently staffed.
  • Supervise the training and development program for operational personnel.
  • Maintain responsibility for the oversight of the development and execution of an Annual Business Plan and Operating Budget for each asset, to include asset profitability and fee revenue growth for the portfolio.
  • Develop and foster senior level client relations as part of developing strategic plans that ultimately improve each asset, utilizing the full breadth of services and the broader capabilities of Hines for the benefit of every client.
  • Maintains effective communication on significant matters with and between all functional areas of the team and local and regional leadership, as well as within Hines executive leadership.
  • Promote, support, and execute new business growth for development projects, acquisitions, and third-party management opportunities.
  • Responsible for staffing and personnel assignments of all management services positions in conjunction with the Vice President – Engineering.
  • Facilitates communication between Property Management, Asset Management, Accounting, and local and regional leadership to achieve an effective and efficient program.
  • Understands, communicates, and ensures compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures by which Hines properties operate, and ensures that all aspects of property operations are being performed consistent with Hines operational standards to yield the highest level of service at costs competitive with the market.
  • Represent the firm in selecting community business organizations and industry groups.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred or equivalent years of direct experience required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Ten years management experience with profit and loss responsibility.
  • Possess a District of Columbia Real Estate Commission Property Manager’s License.
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment of ambiguity and take ownership for the process and result.
  • Manages in a diverse and dynamic environment with cross/multi regional responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated track record in the development & implementation of strategic plans.
