Trading Intern

FIRM OVERVIEW

We are a technology-led hedge fund looking to hire a qualified Trading Intern to join our Development Program. We are active traders in global markets, leveraging a strong understanding of market fundamentals combined with quantitative and data-driven processes. ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Trader Intern for this Summer, graduating no later than Spring 2025, to assist with research, monitoring, and execution of daily trades under the guidance of experienced traders. This position is ideal for a candidate looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced trading environment. The intern will interact with traders, quants, and senior management, providing a unique opportunity to develop communication and collaboration skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Help maintain and update spreadsheets and trading tools.
• Collaborate with the operations team and brokers to learn about trade allocations and the resolution of breaks.
• Monitor execution algorithms and assist in the collection of data for improving execution quality and minimizing market impact.
• Assist in managing order flow and executing trades using electronic trading platforms.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned, including but not limited to, generating ad hoc reports and supporting senior traders.
  
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Current enrollment in a STEM, finance, economics, or related degree program.
• Experience with Excel. VBA is a plus.
• Proven programming skills. Python is a plus.
• Interest in commodity, fixed income, FX, and equity markets.
• Curiosity about the mechanics and terminology of futures, options, and equities markets.
• Excellent communication skills, proactive mindset, quick learning capacity, positive attitude, and teamwork orientation.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
