Job Description

As a Special Education Teacher Aide, you will assist in delivering tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. Your role involves working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive classroom environment. You will help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide direct assistance to students, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Student Support: Assist in providing individualized instruction and support to students with special needs.

IEP Implementation: Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.

Classroom Assistance: Support teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.

Progress Monitoring: Assist in tracking and assessing student progress, providing feedback to teachers and staff.

Welcoming Environment: Help create a welcoming classroom where all students feel valued and supported.

Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive learning environment.

Advocacy: Support the needs of students with disabilities and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher preferred).

Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
