We are seeking an inspired, experienced leader to architect and drive a high-performance and talent acquisition practice at Formula Fig. This newly created role will report to the Interim VP, People and will be critical in shaping Formula Fig’s distinctive culture as the company grows.

The role's primary objectives are to craft high-touch candidate experience for applicants of Formula Fig. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for optimizing our application and assessment process, maintaining recruiting metrics to evaluate our recruiting efforts, activating school and community partnerships to attract the best and brightest talent to Formula Fig and working with our Marketing team to showcase our unique employer brand across all of our recruiting channels.

The ideal candidate is a talent acquisition professional with 3-5 years of experience who has experience providing full cycle recruiting support to growth companies in the retail, aesthetics, or hospitality space. Fantastic candidates may not see themselves reflected in some of the experience criteria outlined below. Mentorship will be provided for candidates with some of the critical experience required for success in this role but who may not have yet had significant exposure to specific positional requirements such as recruiting medical aesthetics providers, for example.

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist with the following skills and experience:

  • Experience partnering directly with stakeholders at various levels of the organization and acting as a trusted advisor, and single point of contact for Talent Acquisition
  • Experience optimizing hiring strategies and driving process improvements by tracking and interpreting recruiting metrics such as source of hire, time to file, and cost per hire.
  • Experience maintaining Applicant Tracking Systems such as Greenhouse, BambooHR ATS or Lever.
  • Experience developing meaningful partnerships schools, professional associations and community groups to develop talent pipelines for key roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver practical, cost effective and creative recruiting solutions to improve the candidate experience, hiring manager satisfaction and reduce time to fill for key roles.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop trust and credibility with candidates and senior leadership across the organization.
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to source and select exceptional candidates under tight timelines.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist Will Be Responsible For

  • In partnership with Interim VP, People and the senior leadership team (SLT), the TA specialist will develop a recruitment strategy for each role on Formula Fig’s hiring roadmap which includes corporate and field roles. They will develop a consistent internal and external talent acquisition process that results in a best in class experience for hiring managers and candidates alike.
  • Getting to know internal teams to identify up and coming talent across the Company to pipeline for future roles.
  • Implementing tools and processes to streamline the hiring process which will include job approval process, robust interview guides, brand appropriate job postings, envisioning employer brand collateral.
  • Proactively sourcing candidates through networking events, professional associations, universities and colleges and more.
  • Screens, assesses, and presents candidates to hiring manager to move forward with the interview and selection process.
  • Manages the candidate experience through seamless execution of interview process.
  • Arranges timely interviews for the interview panel members and candidates.
  • Leads the candidate calibration conversation with the hiring manager to identify final candidate.
  • Finalizing offer process, offer creation and seamless communication to all stakeholders.

What to expect in your first year in the role:

  • Your first 90 days: During your first 90 days, you’ll spend time with the Company's Senior Leadership Team, Retail Leadership, and members across Formula Fig's Support Office and stores to learn how each function contributes to our business. You’ll work alongside our Fig Bar Managers, Guest Experience Associates, Guest Concierge Associates and Skin Educators to learn how we provide an immersive experience to our valued guests. You’ll have dedicated time with the Interim Head of People, Chief Financial Officer, and Director Finance to understand the current state of people operations, HR systems, employee programs and policies. Once you’ve completed your robust onboarding, you’ll work closely with the Interim Head of People to begin sourcing and screening candidates, and presenting candidates for our most critical roles.
  • Months 3 to 6: Now that you’ve developed a deeper understanding for Formula Fig’s brand you’ll be working on optimizing recruiting workflows through use of tools like Bamboo ATS, Asana and Slack. You will begin to build a strategy for Skin Educator and retail recruitment. This should include building tools and processes to track the efficacy of source of hire, building partnerships with aesthetics programs in our key markets. You’re starting to track some baseline metrics and find ways to improve both the hiring manager and candidate experience.
  • Months 6 to 12: You have a number of successful hires now across retail and corporate. You have developed and trained hiring managers on new workflows around candidate assessment and feedback. You have built 2-3 meaningful school and/or professional association partnerships and are seeing a strong inflow of candidate referrals as a result. You have successfully reduced Formula Fig’s reliance on external agencies by developing creative, cost-effective recruiting strategies. With the basic talent acquisition infrastructure built, you are now working alongside our creative and brand team to build out our employer brand to efficiently and effectively attract world-class talent.

Salary Range

The base salary for this role will range between $65,000 and $85,000 USD per annum. The base salary offered during the offer process will vary depending on range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, consistent with Formula Fig's total rewards program. These factors include but are not limited to the skills and experience the selected candidate brings to the role.

Base salary is one component of our total rewards program which which consists of a competitive medical/dental/vision package as well as treatment and product perks and discounts.
