Job Summary:
A Quality NDT Technician performs systems checks and calibration, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and recording of results.

A Quality NDT Technician performs systems checks and calibration, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and recording of results.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and utilize radiographic testing equipment.
- Actively participate in Radiation safety Programs.
- Ensure the work or radiation area is controlled.
- Calibrate radiographic testing equipment as required.
- Conduct radiographic tests to ensure quality or detection of discontinuities.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of welds under inspection while ensuring strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
- Interpret radiographs.
- Organize and report test results.
- Complete, maintain and/or submit daily radiation reports for management review, as required.
- Perform specialized inspections as required.
- May train and/or provide direction to new hires
- Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management.
Position Requirements:
- Prior certification as an NDT level II in Radiography is required,
- Digital radiography experience is required.
- Completion of RT formal training Per SNT- TC1A required
- Prior certification as an NDT Level I or II with experience hours towards certification to Level II per SNT-TC1A standards on one or more (1) of the following is preferred; UT, VT, MT or PT.
- Industrial Radiographers Certification Card preferred. (Required for all hired as a Radiographer).
- Completion of a forty (40) hour Radiation Safety Course preferred. (Required for all hired as a Radiographer).
- To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position;
- Adaptability ~ Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment. Manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays and/or unexpected events.
- Quality ~ demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and monitor own work to ensure quality
- Safety ~ actively promotes safety procedures; use all equipment and materials properly.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers and MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interface effectively within and across teams both internally and externally as required.
- Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours as needed to accomplish the task or work with little or no prior notification.
