Sr Demand Planning Manager

Reporting to the Sr Director Revenue Management and Sales Planning, the Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for collaborating between major functional partners to drive changes and improvements in forecasting, reporting and documentation of the Demand Forecasting and Sales Planning process which flows into the monthly S&OP cycle. This position is responsible for improving DC balancing through improved forecast, establishing new ways of working and acting as a lead on system improvement / implementation.

• Will assist in developing and executing the Demand Planning process to drive metric accountability and increase cross departmental communication.
• Drives Demand forecasting ownership for key channels and will act as the point person for all forecast details regarding changes vs. Plan, LBE, and prior year.
• Works closely with master data to drive clear and concise mapping of actuals and forecast in the business lens needed to support decision making process internally.
• Leads Weekly S&OE process and identification of major demand deviations driving impact to inventory levels and service.
• Leads discussions and Interfaces with sales, marketing and supply planning to obtain necessary information for the Demand Planning process.
• Leads the Demand Review Meeting for customers / items that fall within area of responsibility.
• Prepare, analyze, and communicate key performance measures with regards to forecast changes, KPI’s, and risks & opps for area of responsibility.
• Lead the process of gathering key forecast information for communication during IBR process including waterfall charts of key changes, update on risks / opps, clear communication of future forecast and drivers.
• Maintains forecast templates and key updates as needed.
• Responsible for supporting the strategic planning process and target setting from a bottoms up perspective within key channels.
• Partners with Supply Chain on order allocation, identification of inventory gaps, and drivers of large variances on forecast and impact to orders.
• Supervise, lead, and direct others on Demand Planning team
• Acts as lead stakeholder in development and implementation of Demand Planning tool (APO).
• Other duties as assigned.
• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or related area is a must. MBA Degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years hands on experience in demand forecasting and planning in a CPG environment preferred.
• Must have background in APO (SAP) and be a system expert on all areas surrounding Demand Planning including master data settings
• 1+ years of prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required, PowerPoint and Access preferred; demonstrated proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems.
• Experience in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry a plus.
• Requires teamwork ability; works well with others and communicates effectively with all associates.
• Requires the ability to train and coach others for success.
• Excellent and accurate data entry skills, good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to effectively address complex issues in an effective and efficient manner, and with complete discretion; ability to be entrusted with sensitive and confidential information.
