Database Architecture skills (not an architect level but can think in that way)
The cloud will be important they will be using RDS in AWS
Extensive experience with T-SQL
Needs to have Dev Skillset, but someone who can not only analyze queries. But understands the infrastructure behind databases, how can you scale? How can you replicate? How can you cache?
Someone that is curious, proactive, knows how to do x but also wants to learn how to do Y – SOFT Skills important
+ If they have experience around database deployments, checking if they are stable etc. diving into monitoring tools and figuring it out on Code side or Infrastructure side
Not an MS BI or SQL Server Dev, more on the DBA/Tuning side
