Mint Cannabis is looking for an associate general counsel to assist its management team with legal and business matters within the company. We are looking for a candidate with 2 to 5 years of transactional or civil litigation experience. The optimal candidate has experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, can identify legal issues and risks, is organized and self-motivated, and is able to handle multiple simultaneous projects. A JD from an accredited law school is required.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Research regulatory matters
Review and interpretation of laws, rules, and regulations from various US jurisdictions
Assist with corporate strategy, real estate transactions and other business/asset acquisitions, licensing deals, employment matters, and supervision of outside counsel
Prepare and assist with legal documents for general counsel as directed
Conduct or assist with legal research for general cousel as directed
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Organized with attention to detail
Basic understanding of court and administrative proceedings and documentation
Thorough understanding of lawsuit summaries, litigation files, and proper maintenance of all legal records
Superior proficiency in administrative tasks
Education and Experience:
A JD from an accredited law school
At least 2 years of relevant experience.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
