Role: Research Scientist II
Location: South Portland, ME
Duration: 6 Months on W2 (Contract only)
Shift Details
Part-time role (Any time from 8 am - 5 pm EST)
100% Onsite role, 20 to 25 hrs/week.
Local candidates needed.
Skills Looking For
The role involves a specific regulatory project focused on technical writing.
Strong Technical writing skills are required.
Experience in diagnostics or regulatory writing is highly preferred.
Specific experience with in vitro diagnostic regulation (IDR) is a plus but not required.
Experience in diagnostics or rapid diagnostics, ideally in human diagnostics.
Must have Problem-solving skills.
Good Communication skills are needed for this role.
The project is short-term, ending at the end of the year.
Familiarity with document control systems (preferably Agile) is a plus.
Work involves writing technical documents related to regulatory submissions.
Candidates with extensive industry experience in diagnostics or regulatory writing may be considered even if slightly underqualified.
Candidates with prior experience at client, particularly at Client Scarborough, are highly preferred.
Experience at IDEXX, a large veterinary rapid diagnostic test company located in Westbrook, is also considered valuable.
No lab work involved.
Education And Level Of Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
Minimum of five years experience: a combination of academic and industry experience; must have at least 2 to 3 years of industry experience.
