ModMed is hiring a driven Regulatory Paralegal to join our positive, passionate, and high-performing Legal team. The Regulatory Paralegal will assist the Regulatory VPs in all manner of routine legal tasks, including preparing standard agreements, drafting and revising regulatory policies and trainings, organizing and archiving legal/regulatory materials, responding to subpoenas, reviewing marketing materials, etc. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced Healthcare IT company that is truly Modernizing Medicine!

Your Role

  • Draft and revise agreements, policies, trainings, and committee meeting materials.
  • Coordinate resolution of complex regulatory questions through research and analysis, written work product, and organizing meetings with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Assist with internal investigations and subpoena responses.
  • Review and analyze marketing materials.
  • Assist with administrative tasks like coordinating meetings, responding to emails, and organizing/archiving legal/regulatory materials.

Skills & Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred; Certified Paralegal certification
  • 2 years experience as a paralegal in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience with or exposure to healthcare regulatory matters highly preferred
  • Ability to learn and act upon changing laws and regulations
  • Experience formally interacting and communicating with regulatory agencies or other similar government agencies or institutions.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a collegial, fast-paced team environment.
  • Work independently and exercise strong judgment when executing an assigned task.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and external parties.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Superior ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Meet tight deadlines and comfortably operate in the face of time constraints.
  • Identify and effectively escalate potential issues to appropriate person(s).
