Job Description

The Regional Director oversees our ‘store within a store’ locations exclusively located in Bass Pro Shops and/or outlet centers within their assigned region. This position is also responsible for the development and growth of all managers and representatives as well as ensuring all customers are provided with outstanding service through both sales and marketing efforts – such as generating leads and offering and selling vacation getaways to customers.

The Regional Director works with Store Managers within the region to achieve and exceed sales and lead production through regular one-on-one conversations, training, report analysis along with staffing levels and best practices in recruiting and hiring.

Specific Duties...

Brand Management

  • Ensures professional company designed collateral is in use at all times.

Customer Care

  • Responsible for the production, performance and behavior of the staff, ensuring the company’s purpose, core values and policies are demonstrated through all actions and behaviors of sales associates. Ensures teams are upheld to the highest level of customer service.
  • Ensures compliance of company policies and cleanliness standards.
  • Stays abreast of all company-provided tools in areas such as customer care metrics, Medallia, a Customer Experience Management program, and Customer Service provided emails related to alerts (customer experience results.
  • Follows company standards for escalation points. Staffing and Development:
  • Oversees and assists with team management and development inclusive of talent sourcing and selection, succession planning, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching and motivating sales team; ensures staffing levels are consistently maintained within each store as outlined in budget headcount.
  • Identifies and develops growth and development opportunities for Sales Managers and Associates.
  • Holds regular meetings with Sales Managers for purposes of coaching and development.
  • Oversees the work performance of the region in alignment with the sales process and ensuring the Company designated training & development program is successfully delivered to all associates. Sales and Production:
  • Achieves or exceeds budgetary responsibilities as it relates to the generation of leads and selling vacation packages.
  • Reviews and analyzes weekly production reports to identify trends, strengths and opportunities. Make regular in person visits to locations for support and guidance.
  • Attends and actively contributes to Regional Director meetings and required training.
  • Schedules and coordinates Regional Sales Manager meetings/workshops as needed.
  • Ensures payroll is accurately tracked and processed on time.
  • Assumes all Manager responsibilities in their absence as needed.
  • Adheres to on-time new hire onboarding paperwork and process steps as required by Human Resources
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures including but not limited to ethics and compliance, as well as ensuring sales process and designated training & development processes are being consistently followed.
  • Responsible for oversight of adherence to all Bluegreen, State and Federal hiring and employment regulations.

Job Requirements

Minimum Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Minimum Experience: 4 years marketing and management experience plus 2 years sales experience required. Experience with the timeshare industry or retail environment is preferred.

Essential Training, Knowledge, Licenses and /or Certifications: Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Customer service and quality fundamentals; Internet Explorer/Chrome; company’s intranet system and Corporate policy and procedures.

Essential Professional Skills/Competencies: Must have the ability to motivate and hold accountable a large team with specific sales goals. Qualified candidates should possess a dynamic personal presence with a strong ability to persuade, communicate and train employees within their region. Lead by example – on the floor selling with the managers and reps when visiting the stores within their region. Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong ability to think strategically and analyze information timely and accurately; strong interpersonal communication skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
