The Database Security Group is chartered to provide a comprehensive portfolio of security solutions to ensure data privacy, protect against insider threats, and enable regulatory compliance for both Oracle and non-Oracle databases.


Oracle is the leader and pioneer in database security. Our group continues to innovate and extend the lead on our competitors. Security is essential for businesses and consumers in the information age. Our team within the Database Security Group is responsible for the Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall product.


Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall consolidates and collates audit data and monitors Oracle and non-Oracle database traffic to detect and block threats. It also provides comprehensive reporting capabilities by consolidating audit data from databases, operating systems, directories, and other sources. We are constantly pushing the limits of scalability as more and more customers expand the deployment of this product.


Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall is growing rapidly and we want to expand into new areas such as GenAI, Cloud and ML/Analytics. A major component of this product is the Audit Vault Server which is an enterprise-quality data warehouse with enhanced capabilities for Alerts, Reports, etc.


We are hiring a principal developer to join the Audit Vault Server team to continue to innovate, build, enhance and support this product.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop software to improve the scalability, availability, and usability of

the Audit Vault Server.

Contribute to the design and development of AI features that leverage technologies such as GenAI, ML-based Anomaly detection etc.

Own and provide technical leadership to several key components.

Focus on diagnosability, self-healing, and monitoring of highly scalable server.

Work closely with Product Management, QA, and other multi-functional teams in all phases of product development


Requirements:

BS or MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related fields is required.

8+ years of hands-on experience in software development, including design, implementation, debugging and support, building scalable software systems is required.

Experience in developing Oracle database applications using SQL/PLSQL is desirable.

Experience in Bash/Python scripting languages is desirable.

Strong fundamentals of linux operating system is a plus.

Experience with either Java/C/C++ is required.
