Pharmacovigilance Scientist

Pharmacovigilance Scientist - Contract - Fully remote role, Cambridge MA

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Pharmacovigilance Scientist to join a Drug Safety team.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role will involve scenario planning, strategy analysis, portfolio prioritization, budget management and forecasting. The successful candidate will also be responsible for document management and authoring for aggregate safety reports. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Skills & Requirements:

• Degree in a medical or healthcare related discipline (e.g., MSN RN, PharmD, Physician Assistant).
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on drug safety/pharmacovigilance.
• Familiarity with Document Management and use of VEEVA.
• Strong skills in supporting the development and application of business process improvement methodologies.
• Ability to manage teams and work in a matrix environment.
• Knowledge of Argus Safety Databases and Signaling tools (e.g., Empirica).
• Advanced knowledge of Global Pharmacovigilance regulatory requirements.
• Strong planning, organization, written and oral communication skills.

The Pharmacovigilance Scientist's responsibilities will be:

• Collaborate with the safety product lead and operational functions for document management and authoring of aggregate safety reports.
• Prepare slides for the Safety Risk Management Team.
• Work closely with the safety physician to analyze potential safety issues, including signal detection, evaluation, and management.
• Contribute to signaling and data mining activities utilizing internal and external sources of data.
• Assist in the evaluation of potential safety issues and quality risk assessment reports.
