PE Fund Finance Associate

-Private Equity Fund Accounting Associate position at $10B alternative asset management firm in NYC - hybrid work schedule

-This hire will be responsible for providing accounting information – including preparation, processing, and reviewing of transactions and financial reports – to the internal teams and external clients/ investors

Responsibilities:

• Records the journal entries for management fees, investments, accruals, other expense/income, valuation adjustments and bank reconciliations
• Prepares accounting work papers and financial statements, including footnotes and supporting schedules, from beginning to end
• Confirms that all cash transactions have been completed (i.e., payment of capital calls, receipt of investment proceeds)
• Calculates and reviews capital transactions, management fees and accruals
• Determines proper allocation of portfolio and income transactions
• Working with deal teams to understand deal structures and assist with execution activities relating to acquisition and disposition transactions

Qualifications:

• 1-5+ years of private equity fund accounting experience (waterfalls, cap calls, distributions)
• Need experience preparing financial statements, experience with systems (Investran, Geneva)

Compensation: $105,000-$115,000 base + bonus
