Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

The paralegal position will assist in-house attorneys on a wide range of corporate, commercial, and governance matters, including those related to consulting agreements, financing transactions, grant agreements, ownership transactions, policy documents, stadium leases and briefing materials related to these matters.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, review, and prepare briefing materials, presentations and correspondences for League, committee and other meetings.
  • Prepare drafts of contracts, amendments, releases and schedules using established templates or precedent.
  • Conduct research and compile and organize informational reports.
  • Maintain corporate registrations and governance compliance for League-level entities.
  • Knowledge and document management, including careful maintenance of organizational and other key documents, for efficient research, recall, and application.
  • Coordinate with the finance department and other business units on process management (i.e., contract process, annual updates).
  • Work closely with senior and executive-level on ad hoc projects.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited 4-Year College or University preferred
  • Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates interested in attending law school
  • At least 1-year of paralegal experience (law firm preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • A strong ability to multi-task and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to create, maintain, and leverage a precise filing system for legal documents
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Online research skills a plus
  • Ability to work on projects requiring a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Overtime, when necessary

  • Must have exceptional initiative, judgment, prioritizing and organizational skills

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • FSLA Non-Exempt
  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Salary

$37.50 — $41 USD
