Outpatient Substance Use Treatment Manager

StarCare Specialty Health System (StarCare) is seeking an Outpatient Substance Use Treatment Manager to provide supportive services to individuals enrolled in the Outpatient Substance Use Treatment Program.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the Outpatient Substance Use programs for Adults and Adolescents.
  • Work collaboratively with other programs to provide integrated services and treatment for clients
  • Responsible for program reports and audits and follows all contract requirements and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) requirements, policies and procedures as well as assisting in program and policy development. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Substance Use Program Director with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
  • This position ensures all activities support the Vision, Mission, and Values of StarCare Specialty Health System.

Schedule: This is a full-time, exempt position. Work is performed from 8:00am-5:00 pm, Monday - Friday with flexibility to meet program needs including morning and evening groups on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in a Human Services Field (Psychology, Sociology, Family Studies, etc.), LCDC, and two (2) years of work experience in the substance use disorder/mental health field.
  • LPC Associate candidates also qualify for consideration.
  • Master’s degree and LPC, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge and skill in operating standard office equipment (phone, fax, copier, etc.) and personal computer with Microsoft office products is required.
  • Knowledge of human service delivery systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize a variety of assignments and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with clients, other employees and the public.

Additional Requirements

  • Must have current Texas driver’s license, and be insurable under the Agency insurance.
  • Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
