This position is hybrid and remote eligible up to 40% of the time. The office location for this position is at ESL Corporate Headquarters in Rochester, NY. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.

Pay:

Starting Pay: $98,000 Pay Range: $86,642 - $109,227

Purpose of Position:

This position is accountable for the development and implementation of ESL’s organizational design and change management strategies to meet current and future business goals and objectives. Responsible for providing expertise and guidance on strategic organizational design, job description development including competency and skill identification, and change management initiatives to build capacity within the organization. This position consults, aligns with, and supports HR and company leaders to clarify job roles, optimize efficiency and improve employee effectiveness.

Accountabilities:

Implement and Support Organizational Design Solutions

  • Conduct organizational assessments to determine how jobs, roles, and structures should change to meet a desired future state
  • Create organizational design approaches and partner with stakeholders to implement optimal design structure
  • Develop and implement a formal process to keep job descriptions current
  • Work directly with managers to evaluate needs and develop and write job descriptions
  • Work with leaders to identify high value competencies necessary for each position, benchmark employee performance and provide solutions to minimize performance gaps
  • Work with partners to develop and implement upskilling and reskilling roadmaps
  • Develop and implement a competency mapping process



Drive Change Management Throughout the Organization

  • Implement ESL’s organizational change management strategy to support leaders and employees through people, process, and technology changes
  • Support ESL’s capacity to change and improve by implementing deliberate and meaningful change leadership initiatives
  • Collect and analyze data from organizational assessments and diagnostic tools to make recommendations for change and improvement
  • Develop and implement effective change management tools and strategies that increase employee adoption and achieve desired business results
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to infuse change management activities throughout project, training and communication plans
  • Identify, analyze, and manage anticipated change resistance



Increase knowledge & skill to provide ever-increasing value to ESL

  • Stay up to date with organizational design industry trends. Integrate appropriate best practices into design and change programs
  • Is flexible and adaptable to back-up staff and contribute where needed



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Organization Development, Human Resource Development, or related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ related experience in organization development, organization design and development, or human resource job design/development required
  • Proven ability to develop and implement competency, skill and capacity building programs required
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to consult with and advise all levels of the organization required
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities required
  • Proficiency with Windows based PCs, including operational knowledge of software applications required
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills required
  • Expertise in organizational design theories, concepts and frameworks preferred
  • Expertise in organizational change management methodologies, principles, practices, and processes preferred
  • Working knowledge of adult learning competencies including needs assessment, instructional design, presentation, group facilitation, a variety of delivery methodologies, and learning transfer measurement preferred
