Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Early Career for the Payload Launch Site Support Services (PLSSS) Program in Space. In this role, you will perform a variety of Mechanical Engineering design, analysis and operational tasks. The successful candidate will have the ability to apply practical Mechanical Engineering operations and/or maintenance principles within an industrial or commercial environment and possess practical and basic Mechanical/Structural Engineering experience or classroom exposure. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
The Payload Launch Site Support Services (PLSSS) Program, within LM Space, provides launch processing support functions for our government customer. Key elements of the program scope include spacecraft launch preparations, spacecraft transportation operations, and processing facilities O&M. The primary operating location is Vandenberg AFB, CA, with support of other locations also required.
