Officer Selection Officer

The Marine Corps is seeking high performing, elite individuals with a desire to serve a greater purpose than themselves to become Marine Officers.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


- Upstanding, competitive & physically fit individuals between 18 and 35 years of age.


- Must be a U.S. Citizen.


- Currently enrolled full time (12 credits or more), or have graduated from an accredited, four-year college or university. Students in two-year colleges can sign a letter of intent to later transfer to a four-year university.


- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher


- Must meet Marine Corps Height/Weight Standards


- Must be Physically and Medically qualified to join the Marine Corps


- Must be mentally qualified (e.g. meet at least one of the following)


- SAT Score of 1000 or higher (Math & Critical Reading)


- Composite ACT Score of 22 or higher


- AFQT Score of 74 or higher on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). This is the method for students lacking the required ACT/SAT Score. (i.e. you can still be eligible, regardless of ACT/SAT...just adds one more step)


Active Duty Marine Officers commit to 4 years of active duty service, which is comprised of nearly a year of the most advanced leadership and tactical training the United States military has to offer, followed by a 3 year stint in the Fleet Marine Force.

Earning the title Marine Officer is reserved for those few who are willing to challenge their body, mind, and spirit in service of a higher calling; the opportunity to lead Marines in defense of this great nation. Adventure awaits those who are willing to take the first steps.
