About the Officer Selection Program:

We seek motivated and capable individuals who are passionate about challenge and leadership, and to help them compete for a career full of opportunities, growth, and service. Our Officer Candidate Program offers two paths to achieve this goal, allowing you to participate based on your collegiate status, regardless of location.

For Current College Students:

  • Maximize your summer with the Platoon Leaders Class (PLC), a demanding 6-week summer training program that transforms you into a Marine Corps leader.
  • Focus on your academics during the school year with no commitment required outside the summer program.

For College Graduates:

  • Dedicate yourself to the Officer Candidate Course (OCC), a rigorous 10-week program that hones your skills and prepares you to lead Marines.
  • The OCC program offers flexibility, allowing you to begin your Marine Corps journey at your convenience throughout the year.

As a Marine Corps Officer, you will:

  • Lead America's finest warriors: Take charge and inspire Marines in combat and beyond.
  • Embrace diverse career opportunities: Explore a vast array of professions, from aviation to intelligence to logistics.
  • Travel the world: Serve in exciting locations and gain invaluable global experience.
  • Make a real difference: Contribute to national security and defend the freedoms we hold dear.

Officer Candidate Program Benefits:

  • Earn a stipend ($6500+) for attending the program.
  • All program expenses covered.
  • Maintain focus on your academic or professional pursuits.
  • Qualify for an optional commission as a Marine Corps Officer upon successful completion of the program and meeting all requirements.
