Job Description:
As the Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will oversee the performance of both new and remanufactured equipment operations. Your responsibilities will extend to direct management of manufacturing functions and indirect oversight of planning and engineering activities that support the value stream. You will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives through coaching, mentorship, and inspirational leadership. Collaboration with local and global leaders will be crucial to ensure capacity alignment and flexibility in meeting collective business needs. Additionally, fostering the development of your team to actively engage in our Lean journey and prioritize delivering value and building customer trust will be essential.

Job Responsibilities
- Advocate safety and wellness through actions and words. Ensure the safety of all team members.
- Lead the delivery of value through excellence in execution processes.
- Lead the team to meet business goals as defined by the Duncan Leadership Team and Global Leadership Team.
- Develop and inspire the operations team.
- Actively engage and lead continuous improvement through the learning, deployment, and coaching of the Lean journey and tools.
- Develop and maintain improvement roadmap that reflects the needs of the team, in alignment with overall business needs.
- Recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of teams and individuals.
- Proactively engage in the personal growth of individual team members and work closely with functional leaders where appropriate.
- Work with functional and Product Line leaders to develop standards.
- Interact and coordinate with parallel global value streams to achieve strong global delivery results for product line.
- Engage team to balance execution activities with improvement efforts.
- Serve as the local metric owner for the product line local key performance measures.
- Focus on product line cost and lead time reduction.
- Ownership of overall performance with a focus on contributing to site and divisional financial commitments.
- Maintain a visual workplace, providing an environment for empowerment and team member driven problem solving.
- Work with leaders at other Barry-Wehmiller Flexible Systems locations to implement our vision of thinking globally and acting locally.
- Periodically represent Flexible Systems in Barry-Wehmiller Lean, operational excellence, and other applicable conferences and communications.
- Work with other Barry-Wehmiller divisions to share best practices and create global leverage.
- Partner with local leaders on leadership development, our caring culture, and team member fulfillment.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field, from an accredited college or university (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 10 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing or other technical position).
- 5+ years of experience in operations
- 5+ years of experience using Lean tools to drive purposeful results
- 2+ years of experience leading team members and cultivating professional development
