Job Title: Manager of Educational and Workforce Development Programs

Reports to: Senior Director of Programs

Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000

La Casa Norte’s mission is to serve youth and families confronting homelessness. We provide access to stable housing and deliver comprehensive services that act as a catalyst to transform lives and communities.

Job Summary:

La Casa Norte is seeking a dedicated and dynamic manager to oversee its Educational and Workforce Development programs, specifically designed for youth aged 16-24. This role is pivotal in managing and nurturing partnerships with educational institutions, community partners, and work training programs. The manager will also administer our Youth in College Scholarship Program, provide educational and career counseling, and ensure that all case managers integrate educational and career goals into their client service plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Oversee Programs: Design and implement strategies for educational and workforce development programs that cater to the needs of youth.
  • Manage Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, community organizations, and work training programs to enhance opportunities for youth.
  • Administer Scholarships: Oversee the Youth in College Scholarship Program, ensuring that it supports our youth’s educational aspirations effectively.
  • Provide Counseling: Offer direct educational and career counseling to youth, assisting them in setting and achieving their goals.
  • Integrate Goals into Service Plans: Work closely with case managers to incorporate educational and career objectives into client service plans.
  • Monitor and Report: Track program outcomes and provide regular reports on progress and challenges to senior management.
  • Ensure Smooth Program Operation: Maintain program compliance and evaluation in accordance with agency and contractual guidelines
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support a team to effectively deliver program objectives and foster professional growth.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in program management, preferably within an educational or nonprofit setting.
  • Proven track record of managing partnerships and community relations.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in team management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of La Casa Norte.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred.
