• Uses his/her knowledge of the working properties of metal and skill with machine tools to
  
  

plan and carryout the operations needed to make machined products to precise

specifications.

• Use machine tools including but not limited to: Lathes, milling machines, machining centers
  
  

grinding machines, sinker EDM and wire EDM machines.

• Use drawing asn electronic (CAD) data to determine the necessary cutting and finishing
  
  

operations required to produce the desired component.

• Determine the necessary cutting spread and feed rates, tools, materials and machines
  
  

Required to produce the desired component in the most cost and time efficient manner.

Additional Duties

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Rotate to various assigned machines as required.
• Communicate with co-workers and internal customers as needed, including the passing of
  
  

work from one shift to the next.

• Perform departmental activities through the use of computer software.
• Performs other miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Must be a journeyman Machinist or Journeyman Tool and Die Maker.

Must have computer skills.

Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings.

Working knowledge of Gibbs, Pro/Engineer and Esprit helpful.

Pre-employment physical and drug screen required.

Background check required.
