THE POSITION

These Are Your Key Tasks

  • Collect and analyze relevant data, legal documents, and case law from FIFA and the CAS
  • Collect and analyze relevant data, legal documents, and case law from relevant tribunals or institutions which can have an impact on FIFA’s decision making process.
  • Collect and analyze academic papers related to sports law matters
  • Conduct in-depth legal research on a wide range of legal topics and areas of law at the request of the Chief Legal & Compliance Offer or the FIFA Directors
  • Collect and systematize all presentations given by the representatives of the Legal & Compliance Division in seminars, forums, etc.
  • Prepare legal briefs, reports, memoranda, and other documents as required
  • Collaborate effectively with FIFA’s legal staff to support their legal research needs
  • Lead FIFA’s data base project, and being responsible for coordinating the legal documents which are published on FIFA’s official website
  • Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and CAS case law
  • Assist in preparing for legal proceedings of the FIFA Legal & Compliance Division

The Specific Competencies We Require For This Position Are

  • More than 3 years of experience in a similar role, either in a University or a law firm
  • Degree in Law and Master in Law
  • Proficient in Word / PowerPoint / Excel, etc.
  • Works autonomously, is independent, accepts responsibility and is a significant help to employees and supervisors, is particularly productive, makes decisions independently
  • Well organized, works systematically and goal-oriented, structures tasks appropriately and works particularly efficiently and effectively
  • Fluent in English, proficiency in any other FIFA language (e.g. Spanish or French) is an asset
