As the Leadership Pipeline Program Manager, you will utilize your expertise to influence the strategy, design, develop, and manage top talent and other leader programs. This includes supporting a diverse and robust pipeline of global talent with the right skills, capabilities, and experiences to lead Assurant today and in the future. This role will also measure and track the effectiveness of these programs and strive for continuous improvement to meet the needs of the business. This role will focus primarily on serving the needs of mid-to-senior level talent.

The Leadership Pipeline Program Manager is an individual contributor role. However, the person in this role will own several highly visible talent programs, directing and engaging several key stakeholders across the organization (business leaders, managers, participants) and the People Organization to drive the greatest impact for the organization and ensure programs and solutions are integrated, effective and scalable.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Leadership Pipeline Program Strategy & Execution

  • Build and actively manage pipeline and leadership development programs to retain and develop top talent (e.g., vision, purpose, outcomes, philosophy, selection process, development programs, budget management, vendor partnerships, etc.)
  • Partner with others to ensure alignment between leadership development, pipeline programs, and other talent strategies.
  • Launch and support the kick-off and onboarding of new cohorts across the globe.
  • Support the development of top-talent individuals to accelerate their growth and readiness for new roles in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Develop strategies to engage pipeline program alumni to reinforce what is learned and give back to future cohorts.
  • Contribute to developing our philosophy and approach to leadership assessments and how to incorporate them into our pipeline program strategies best.
  • Provide clear feedback; coach and develop participants.


Project Management

  • Serve as the program manager for leadership development and pipeline programs by leading all project management aspects.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including planning and tracking deliverables to ensure quality goals and timelines (promised to the business) are achieved.
  • Manage the project with a forward-looking, end-to-end ownership mindset (e.g., proactively anticipate roadblocks, mitigate risks, and manage program dependencies).


Communication

  • Effectively liaise with key stakeholders to align on common objectives, outline expectations, and execute on program elements.
  • Communicate program objectives, risks, issues, overall status, and progress and impact of leadership development and pipeline programs to key stakeholders at various levels.
  • Partner with the People Business Partner community to communicate the value story and what we offer/deliver to targeted audiences.


Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with vendor(s) to source development solutions (as necessary)
  • Partner with business leaders and the People Organization across the globe to facilitate career planning/movement and identify development opportunities.
  • Stay attuned to best practices in leadership development and incorporate them into program design and delivery.
  • Consider employee experience when delivering solutions.


Metrics and Evaluation

  • Define KPIs/measures of success to indicate how our pipeline and leadership development programs contribute to business outcomes.
  • Track and report on the progress and impact of programs.
  • Continually assess programs, processes, and selection methods and recommend changes that could drive efficiencies, scalability, and sustainability.


What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing top talent and/or leadership development programs.
  • A minimum of 5 years serving as a Program Manager or a relevant role.


What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Experience implementing global leadership development initiatives that have had a clear impact on the performance and effectiveness of an organization.
  • Experience designing and/or re-engineering processes to gain efficiencies. 
  • Prior experience working for a Global, Fortune 500 company across different time zones and different languages.
  • Prior budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Vendor sourcing and vendor management.


How much should I expect to travel?

  • Up to 10% travel is possible (typically to support in-person events).

Pay Range

$84,100.00 - $140,500.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
