Join our team as a Labor Relations Representative where you will play a pivotal role in fostering positive employee relations and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations within the hotel. As a key member of our team, you will resolve disputes between workers, and coordinate with managers, and grievance procedures to handle employee complaints.
Responsibilities
Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries in a professional manner
Fill out and maintain employment paperwork and records
Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding new employees
Manage employee relations by addressing concerns and providing guidance
Implement and oversee grievance procedures to handle employee complaints effectively and fairly
Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws
Maintain a positive and organized work environment
Oversee daily operations and ensure staff adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
Conduct regular training sessions for new and existing employees on hotel policies, procedures, and standards.
Ability to commute between various hotel locations including Long Island City, Yonkers, Manhattan, and Brooklyn
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in labor relations or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Ability to effectively manage employee relations issues.
-Bilingual in English and Spanish
-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Proficient in Microsoft Office
