This position is located in Seattle, requiring you to be in the office four days a week,

offering a dynamic and engaging work environment. As part of our integrated

technical team, you’ll bring your expertise to provide structure to complex and

ambiguous customer problems. You will develop innovative solutions using

econometrics and other scientific methods, collaborating closely with engineers to

scale and launch models into production.

Basic Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Economics from a top institution, with a focus on practical applications and

0-3 years industry experience after obtaining your Ph.D.

• Demonstrated expertise in working with large datasets, with skills in areas such as

applied forecasting (e.g., inventory demand predictive models), applied dynamic

optimization (e.g., revenue management or inventory optimization), parsimonious

modeling (e.g., subscription pricing models), machine learning and micro-economics

(e.g., Double ML or attribution models), and applied market design (e.g., large-scale

pricing systems).

• Experience in framing effective solutions to real-world, customer-facing challenges.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate

complex concepts clearly and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience partnering with engineering teams to implement models into production, with

a focus on practical applications and outcomes.

• Publications or working papers that showcase your contributions to the field.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and collaborate across various

departments and teams.

• A naturally curious mindset and a quick learner, driven by a passion for excellence and

US Salary Range: $210,000 - $235,000 base, plus an annual discretionary bonus, 401k

contribution, and competitive benefits package. Actual compensation within the range will

depend upon the level the individual is hired into based on their skills, experience, qualifications.
