JOB OVERVIEW:

The IT Analyst will focus on the areas of systems support, inventory management, customer service, application development, and integration. They shall be committed to quality customer service, shall understand IT service and support models, inventory management, operations and data analysis. They shall be self-motivated, be able to function effectively and independently in a fast-paced, focused, team environment. They will be expected to perform system administration and support function, take ownership of issues where necessary, and provide technical support on the various computer platforms (both hardware and software) in use at the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts.

This is a junior level position reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts. As part of our IT team, you will work with all divisions, end users, and other external entities to ensure that IT systems are fully operational, manage inventory, provide direction and planning for maintenance and upgrade strategies, align needs with business objectives, and provide measurable results. In addition, you will take the initiative to automate and streamline existing processes from a technology standpoint so that we can effectively improve the quality of service for our users, partners and the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

40% SYSTEMS SUPPORT (HARDWARE / SOFTWARE / APPLICATIONS)

  • Gain an understanding of the different IT services and business processes at the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts.
  • Assist with the management of existing technology platforms, inventory and replacement planning/strategy.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users, creating documentation and self-help resources as needed


25% TECHNICAL SUPPORT (PHONE/EMAIL)

  • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft products to support users with their email needs.


25% END USER ISSUES

  • Assist in the support end users by identifying issues while evaluating potential solutions.
  • Support customers with access and data issues.
  • This position is heavy on user interface and supporting their operational needs.


5% SYSTEM ADMIN / INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE, INTEGRATION & AUTOMATION

  • Assist with the maintenance and support IT applications, systems and servers.


5% WEB APPLICATION SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Provide assistance and support to end users, referring to documentation and self-help resources as applicable.


THE IT ANALYST IS TO PERFORM ALL OF THE ABOVE ESSENTIAL DUTIES IN ADDITION TO OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Knowledge of:

  • Systems support, incident management and problem resolution.
  • Core IT functional systems such as email, web servers, storage on multiplatform, high-availability architectures.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and develop automation and integration solutions
  • Enterprise-class service platform support, including deployment, administration, configuration and operational support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree in applicable area of expertise; one (1) year of experience in Information Technology; one (1) year of experience in a service operations / service support environment interacting with users/customers; or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a sedentary job and the employee will sit 75% of their workday. The employee is expected to use a computer keyboard for extended periods of time and lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
