Information Technology Auditor

HF Foods Group Inc. Primary Functions:

The IT Auditor will work with Internal Audit team and report directly to the VP of Internal Audit. This role will support Sarbane-Oxley (SOX) compliance including designing, implementing, maintaining, and supervising controls with the company’s compliance requirements. This will be a hands-on position, responsible for performing IT part of the total SOX audit program. There will be frequent exposure to senior management throughout the company, as well as interactions with external auditors and SOX advisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the execution of HFFG’s SOX program in accordance with COSO 2013 framework:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of HFFG’s business operations.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of SOX requirements on ITGCs and ITACs.
• Help improve HFFG’s IT control environment and frameworks.
• Assist in SOX 404 compliance efforts.
• Prepare flowcharts, narratives, and risk control matrix to document IT processes and controls.
• Responsible for IT controls’ walkthroughs, testing, and issue identification, assist with deficiency remediation.
• Prepare and perform control testing (both interim and yearend testing), document audit findings.
• Monitor remediation of IT control deficiencies and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of IT environment.
• Facilitate and assist with SOX impact assessment for key technology changes.
• Support the business on control-related issues as part of complex projects and initiatives.
• Support internal audit team and external audit team in the coordination of fieldwork interviews and evidence collection.
• Ad-hoc projects as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, or related fields.
• Public accounting experience desired, solid corporate internal audit experience acceptable, solid corporate IT experience also acceptable.
• A demonstrated understanding of information systems and processes and the ability to apply that knowledge in conducting IT audits.
• Understanding of IT audit procedures, techniques, internal control concepts and experiences in applying them to plan, perform, manage, and report on the evaluation of various business areas and/or functions.
• Ability to quickly assess a situation/process at a top level, identify potential problems, and recommend business practical solutions.
• Enthusiastic, self-starting and enjoys change and a dynamic environment.
• Able to multitask, attention to details and prioritize work effectively.
• Strong writing/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to utilize computer-assisted auditing techniques.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 10%.
• Bi-lingual of Chinese mandarin is preferred, but not required.
