U.S. Immigration Law Counsel

Immigration Attorney

As an Immigration Attorney, your primary responsibility is to represent clients facing deportation or removal from the United States. Your role involves providing legal counsel, developing strategies, and advocating on behalf of clients before immigration courts and relevant authorities. You will work closely with individuals, families, and organizations to navigate complex immigration laws and procedures, aiming to secure favorable outcomes for your clients.

Job Duties:

  • Meet with potential new clients for consultations
  • Coordinate case strategy and manage cases
  • Legal research and analysis
  • Court representation
  • Prepping clients for their upcoming hearings
  • Manage various project deadlines and prepare and revise documents
  • Regularly and effectively communicate with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural, case processing issues, and case strategy

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of immigration law and regulations
  • Experience preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications
  • Experience creating legal documents and conducting legal research
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and government agencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail-orientation, alongside the ability to effectively multi-task
  • Ability to independently work on daily tasks, proactively and with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Ability to always contribute to a work environment positively
  • Demonstrated experience in immigration law, particularly removal proceedings, either through prior work experience or relevant coursework
