Immigration Attorney
Job Description
The Immigration Attorney will represent clients in Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals and handle naturalization and citizenship cases. The Immigration Attorney will also work on related legal issues as needed.
Qualifications
- One year of Immigration Law Experience as an attorney
- Strong knowledge of US Immigration and Nationality Law, particularly in Individual Family-Based Immigration, Asylum, Deportation/Removal and Detained Cases, Federal Litigation, Naturalization or Citizenship Cases, Employment-Based Petitions, and Immigration Related/Other Practice Areas
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Passion for helping people
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school; Admission to the bar of at least one US State required, North Carolina Bar Admission highly preferred
- Spanish language ability highly preferred
