Title: Respiratory Therapist, ICU
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Dallas, TX
Shift: Day (12-hour shifts) 7 am -7pm
Responsibilities
Perform respiratory assessments and implement appropriate interventions for patients in the ICU.
Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, and mechanical ventilation as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and adjust ventilator settings to optimize patient oxygenation and ventilation.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised respiratory care plans.
Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions and treatment options.
Requirements:
The completion of an accredited respiratory therapy programme is required.
Current licensure as a respiratory therapist in Texas.
Previous experience in the ICU or critical care setting is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
