Franchise and Licensing Associate (Marketing COE)

Based onsite in Burbank, the Disney Entertainment Networks Franchise and Licensing Associate will report to Senior Manager. The Associate will serve as the central contact for updating, tracking, and managing day-to-day relationship with licensees.

A Day in the Life of an Associate:


  • Manage 3 ecomm stores; shop.hulu.com, shop.fxnetworks.com, and shopabctv.com.
  • Manage social requests across our TV portfolio.
  • Assist with managing day-to-day relationship with licensees, providing information, asset distribution, and resolving issues.
  • Main contact to gain materials from internal partners to prepare, update and help build pitch materials for external partners.
  • Project manage and coordinate event activation under supervision.
  • Responsible for asset management for our central server to make sure it is current.
  • Support Style guide development working with Senior Manager.


Responsibilities:


  • Main point of contact managing Snow Commerce as a licensee running Shop Hulu, Shop ABC, and Shop FX. Includes merchandise planning according to key beats, driven by content releases, anniversaries, and market activations.
  • Responsible for maintaining licensee contact list, social calendar, and requests across our TV portfolio.
  • Coordinate all product approvals for ecomm.
  • Read and react to business planning including QBR’s (Quarterly business review) as well as collect forecast data from business development and finance.
  • Run and schedule regular conference calls to understand business at retail and support strategy development.
  • Responsible for sending IP related updates to the licensees including fact sheets, retiring artwork and new artwork.
  • Build relationships with internal partners to gather information to create presentation materials in Keynote and PowerPoint.
  • Operate decks in large zoom and in-person meetings including all technical requirements.
  • Create and maintain franchise creative decks, including trade show/event presentations.
  • Organize weekly meetings with licensee, including preparing agendas & recaps.
  • Manage creative assets including necessary clearances needed.
  • Merchandise planner for the activation.
  • Support ideation and solution of the activation.
  • Project manage working with various stake holders including show creatives, legal, and studio.
  • Maintain the library of assets via box.
  • Track and route creative development of style guide elements not limited to photography, character act, editorial, graphics, and packaging.
  • Update and maintain studio PR line sheets, executive line sheets, and monthly product updates.


Basic Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in licensing, consumer products, and brand management required.
  • Experience conceptualizing, constructing, pitching, and editing presentations in Keynote, Power Point required.
  • Experience editing presentations using Illustrator and Photoshop required.
  • Adept at organizing, scheduling, and facilitating meetings.
  • Must live within a commutable distance to Burbank, Ca. (This position will require you to be onsite 4+days a week)
  • High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and pivot to the changing needs in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Experience working in a collaborative corporate/studio environment that is driven by deadlines required.
  • Appreciation and a passion for our content and products required.


Required Education:


  • Bachelor’s Degree.


The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $70,000 to $93,800 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
