Fleet Manager

We are looking for a Fleet Manager to join our team in South Snohomish County. The Fleet Manager will oversee drivers and a small service team, ensuring efficient routing and high customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will take charge of route planning and driver operations and ensure smooth daily logistics for deliveries.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Within the first 30-60 days:

  • Learns the company’s services and processes, as well as its clients and position in the industry
  • Engages with department heads to learn how each department can support the role
  • Rides along with each driver for a full route to gain firsthand insight into operations

Within the next 3 months and ongoing:

  • Participate in weekly Leadership Team meetings
  • Becomes proficient in the routing system and takes full ownership of the process, including responding to disruptions and schedule changes
  • Plans driver routes daily
  • Oversees facilities maintenance and begins management of the sales team

Within the next 6 months and ongoing:

  • Contributes to the establishment of quarterly goals for both the company and department
  • Partners with the General Manager to build labor and maintenance plans for the upcoming year and to address hiring gaps as needed
  • Manages truck requisitions proactively and fulfills fleet requirements efficiently as the Fleet Manager.

Within the next 12 months and ongoing:

  • Establishes and consistently achieves quarterly goals
  • Is a trusted member of the Leadership Team and collaborates to align with company goals and culture on an ongoing basis.
  • Consistently demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the company's operations, culture, and goals

EDUCATION, SKILL, EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of supervisory or leadership team experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in operations management, logistics, and route operations in a warehouse or production setting required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Proficient in Google Workplace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides) and the Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Ability to handle multiple moving pieces effectively required
  • Desire & ability to lead & mentor a team with a focus on process improvement required
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written & verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities surrounding responsibilities required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required
  • Detail oriented required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds required
  • Supervisory experience in managing drivers a plus
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance a plus
  • Certified in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies a plus
  • Bilingual, with proficiency in both English and Spanish a plus

COMPENSATION & COMPANY BENEFITS INCLUDE:

The compensation range for this position is $70,000-$85,000 annually based on experience and skillset
