Teaches and demonstrates principles, techniques, procedures, or methods of designated subjects.
Observes and evaluates trainees’ work to determine progress, provides feedback, and makes suggestions for improvement.
Monitors trainees’ use of tools and equipment.
Determines daily and weekly training needs of trainee(s).
Spends time weekly in other department to ensure knowledge, skills, and abilities are up-to-date.
Administers oral, written, or practical performance tests to measure progress and to evaluate training effectiveness.
Prepares Weekly Performance Reports and maintains records previous reports.
Develops course curriculum, establishes course goals, and plans course content.
Prepares outlines of instructional programs and training schedules and determines methods of instruction.
Provides individualized instruction and tutorial or remedial instruction.
Integrates vocational curriculum to facilitate trainee learning of a variety of skills.
Creates a positive environment that supports learning and provides constructive feedback consistently.
Utilizes a variety of effective and professional teaching techniques and methods to assist trainees in attaining stated performance objectives.
Conducts performance evaluations, rewards employees for positive behavior and provides corrective feedback for performance issues.
Acts as both coach and mentor to trainees in areas of problem-solving, decision-making, and process improvement.
Ensures trainees understand the quality/performance standards of each skill and/or task and have a clear understanding of their own individual performance.
Enforces adherence to Company policies and procedures.
Coordinates with Human Resources in a timely manner on any and all employee relations matters.
Conducts his/her self in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Education And Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in dental production.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in instructing, mentoring, and/or proctoring.
Special Requirements/Certification
Certified Dental Technician (CDT), preferred.
Pay Range: $21-$22/hour
