Faculty Professor - Full-Time, Medicine

Position Title: Faculty Professor with tenure

The Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, Department of Critical Care Medicine, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, seeks a board-certified or board-eligible pediatric cardiac intensivist at the level of Professor with tenure committed to patient care, resident and fellow education, and clinical or laboratory research. Clinical expertise and experience in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care and/or board certified/eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics in Critical Care Medicine or Pediatric Cardiology with additional fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care and/or dual-boarded in CCM and Cardiology Is desirable.

UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CICU) is one of few ICUs in the country especially designed to meet the needs of pediatric patients with both congenital and acquired heart disease. The cardiac program at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is ranked third in US News and World Report Best Children’s Hospitals. The 12-bed CICU also provides care for adult patients who require ongoing medical care due to a history of congenital heart disease. Each year, the CICU admits more than 700 children.

• Complex congenital heart surgery

• Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
