Your Profile

Education: Master's degree or higher in Geology, Geophysics, or a related field.

Experience: 2+ years professional experience in geosciences and the interpretation of subsurface data is a plus.

Key Technical Skills: Familiarity with geophysical software and tools, seismic interpretation, data processing, modeling, and analytical skills sufficient to analyze complex data sets.

Key Behavioral skills: Creativity, adaptability, delivery, curiosity, team spirit, communication, and commitment.

Other: A desire for international travel or expatriate work assignments. Ability to speak or willingness to learn other languages is a plus.

Activities

As a geoscientist motivated by large-scale projects, you will join an exploration team in the heart of the Americas Exploration Hub in Houston, TX. You will be part of an experienced multidisciplinary team and have access to a large catalog of internal training courses to improve your skills and develop professionally. You will never be bored here thanks to the rich and ever growing seismic & well database as well as the fast-paced exciting prospect maturation and well preparation work as well as a large and diverse team where you will be able to learn and grow a lot!

As a geoscientist (geophysicist or geologist) your key responsibilities will be:

  • Participate in identifying the prospectivity of new fields in various geological settings.
  • Identify and control the quality of all available published data, along with well and seismic data.
  • Integrate the results of specialty studies into work products.
  • With guidance and supervision, participate/carry out the interpretation of well and/or seismic data.
  • Define uncertainties.
  • Contribute to basin analysis and/or generation and maturation of prospects.
  • Collaborate with the "CO2 Capture and Storage" development teams.
  • Update results and databases.
  • Contribute to the preparation of drilling operations.

The Americas Exploration Hub is a decentralized Headquarters organization located in Houston, TX.

This position reports to an Exploration Manager.
