Enterprise Business Development Executive (Eastern US Territory)

Assurant has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Enterprise Business Development Executive in our Renters Solutions Enterprise Sales Team. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding sales in new and existing accounts into large multifamily housing clients in the Eastern half of the U.S You will be the subject matter expert in the Renters Insurance products, identify customer needs through sales prospecting, build on crucial client/industry relationships, participate in the development of client plans, introduce new products and services, manage your sales pipeline, conducting online and in-person sales presentations, and execute large client deals.

This remote position will require a minimum of 50% travel.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Expand sales in existing and new accounts by identifying customer needs, participating in developing client plans, and introducing new products and services.
  • Influence prospects to buy products by mastering the selling process and identifying and pursuing market and niche opportunities.
  • Enhances relationship with client by providing support, information, and guidance.
  • Research and recommend new opportunities and profit/service improvements while assisting leaders in outlining these opportunities or enhancements.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to others in resolving complex problems and issues.
  • Use in-depth knowledge of business arrangements, both financial and contractual.
  • Understand financial trends and fluctuations with assigned clients and communicate issues and resolutions to clients and channel personnel.
  • Acts as a consultant with other channels and utilities at Assurant.


What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and account development within or selling into the Multifamily industry.
  • Proven track record of solution selling, strategic planning, execution, negotiation expertise, building and managing a sales pipeline.
  • Successful track record of sales quota performance.


What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Experience working with larger property management companies with 8,000+ units within the multifamily housing industry.
  • Experience working with C-Suite level property management decision-makers.
  • Salesforce experience is highly desired.
  • Extensive knowledge of company products, services, and solutions.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.


How much should I expect to travel?

  • Up to 50%


This role includes a base salary and a variable compensation plan tied to sales performance.

Pay Range

$84,100.00 - $140,500.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
