Engineering Manager

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Engineering Manager is responsible for leading projects and teams that work on standardization of CAD related work, as well as new product development projects. This includes developing appropriate processes with supportive documentation for assembly of the booths and maintaining bill of materials for existing and new innovative products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act in a lead role for projects, leveraging one’s expertise, experience and capabilities.
• Lead an ECR/ECN process for all changes related to product or process.
• Develop and implement standards for 3D models, 2D Prints, BOMs and installation manuals for all products.
• Develop statement of work and detailed proposals to include project understanding, scope of work, pricing, schedule, and other project details; and follow through with development / implementation of a project execution.
• Lead programs around product and process improvements that make drive a product development roadmap.
• Review quality of work and occasionally jumping in and doing work with the team.
  
  

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record of being responsive and delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Able to lead a team, helping them align on deliverables and timeline.
• Expert in 2D/3D CAD, ability to establish a standard for designing parts and drafting engineering prints for manufacturing.
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to get to root cause quickly.
• Capable of functioning well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  
  

Education and Experience:

• BSME preferred but will consider other Engineering Degrees.
• 5+ years of experience managing a team.
• 2+ years of Project Management experience.
