About The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Employment Counsel to join our collaborative Legal team. In this role, you will provide expert guidance on all aspects of employment law, partnering closely with our People team and other stakeholders. You'll have the opportunity to tackle unique challenges at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and e-commerce.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with our People team and business leaders to offer practical advice on labor and employment matters.

Provide expertise and training on various HR areas, including recruiting, performance management, leaves, investigations, and terminations.

Evaluate and mitigate potential employment-related risks, fostering a proactive approach to compliance.

Review and update employment policies to ensure legal compliance and alignment with best practices.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to state and federal employment laws.

Stay abreast of developments in employment law, keeping our practices up to date.

Requirements

JD from an accredited law school.

8+ years of experience in employment law, preferably in a law firm or in-house.

Active bar membership in any US state.

Deep understanding of US and state-specific employment laws, particularly in California.

Proven ability to offer strategic, business-focused advice and find creative solutions.

Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative and positive approach.

Strong adaptability and time management in a fast-paced environment.
