Our client, a nationwide DMC, takes pride in their outstanding service and seamless execution, ensuring that every event they organize is world class. As the company continues to expand, they are looking for a Director of Sales to join their collaborative and energetic team in Denver, CO. They offer great benefits and a strong compensation package that includes base salary, bonus, and uncapped commission!


  • This is a hybrid role and you need to live in the Denver area in order to come into their office several days each week.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to increase event bookings and drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, vendors, and industry professionals
  • Lead a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve sales targets
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify and explore potential areas for business growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify the most effective sales approach
  • Oversee the entire sales process, from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing deals
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales performance and forecasts to the senior management team
  • Effectively carry out sales initiatives and promotions to attract new clients and retain existing ones
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and make adjustments as necessary


Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets in the event management industry
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and close deals
  • Well-organized and adept at leading multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced work setting
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in event sales or a similar role and minimum of 2 years experience leading a team
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is required
