Space Executive have been engaged by a Series B Hyper Growth Data Vendor to find them a Director of Sales Engineering to scale, build and grow the Sales Engineering team across the USA.


Our client is at the forefront of using AI powered data solutions to make data decision making easier than every for Enterprise and Mid Market Customers.


Our client is in a unique growth phase at the moment and is on the verge of raising a substantial funding round to fuel product and go to market growth across the globe.


About the Role:


In this dynamic role, you will:


  • Direct the Sales Engineering efforts, leading technical resources to assist the Sales team in winning new customers and maximizing revenue
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to the team members
  • Lead and build the SE team across the USA
  • Actively participate in pre-sales activities, conducting engineering site evaluations, designing solutions, and leading workshops with prospects
  • Build strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and architect solutions that meet their requirements and work with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drives continuous improvement in the pre-sales process by developing documentation, best practices, and training materials
  • Works effectively with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Operations, and Engineering
  • Interpret complex problems, create simple solutions and collaborate closely with prospects, channel partners and our sales team to deliver winning solutions


Requirements


  • Over 8+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales or engineering role, with at least 2 years in direct frontline management.
  • Proficient in programming languages including Python, Java, and Node.js.
  • Profound knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
  • Proven experience in technical sales or sales engineering roles, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • In-depth understanding of web technologies, such as HTML and CSS.
  • At least 3+ years of experience building and leading a team of sales engineers or technical professionals.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or an equivalent level of experience preferred.
  • Excellent presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive audiences through spontaneous whiteboard discussions and structured demos.
