We are seeking a dynamic Global Logistics Executive to join our team. As a key player, you will be responsible for optimizing supply chain efficiencies, reducing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of shipments across international borders. Your role will involve strategic negotiation, meticulous analysis, and effective leadership to drive success in our global logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
Negotiate competitive service contracts with ocean carriers, optimizing savings and trade-lane strategies across Asia, Europe, and North America.
Forecast and manage annual trade volumes, orchestrating ocean contracts and land transportation for multiple warehouses.
Spearhead discussions with cross-functional teams to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of logistics operations, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Engage in strategic planning to increase operational capacity and secure incremental volume throughout the year.
Develop and maintain SOPs for team and service providers, driving innovation and efficiency.
Integrate new acquisitions' logistics processes, ensuring seamless transitions and compliance.
Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
10+ years of experience in global logistics, with a focus on supply chain optimization and cost reduction.
Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Thorough understanding of international trade regulations and customs requirements.
Proficiency in MS Teams and ERP systems (e.g., Apprise, Infor M3).
Other Requirements
Travel – no more than 25% is required.
In office hybrid preferred but not required. Preferred office location is either Weston, FL, Avondale, PA, or Paris, KY.
