Job Title: Enterprise Billing Director

Location: Irvine CA 92618

Duration: Temp to Perm (Strong possibility)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Standard Shift Hours

Description

  • Enhance overall business processes for efficiency, risk reduction and auditability.
  • Create / enhance / streamline policy documentation and control narratives.
  • Work closely with business units, Billing, Collections, Customer Service and Technical Accounting as well as Contracts Processing to resolve billing issues and concerns.
  • Administer billing processes to ensure invoice is valid, accurate and properly reflects contractual terms.
  • Review and perform audits of billings and billing adjustments.
  • Direct supervision of existing onshore billing team
  • Research and resolve assigned requests and effectively communicate to the requestor.
  • Ensure compliance in billing related activities.
  • Recommend solutions to processes that inhibit billing efficiencies.
  • Resolve complex billing issues.
  • Evaluate, streamline, and document processes and procedures.
  • Maximize overall productivity by offshoring if needed, while maintaining transactional integrity
  • Provide direction and guidance to offshore billing teams.
  • Support audit on invoices, contracts, and credit memos.
  • Ownership of PDF creation and delivery enterprise wide in billing-controlled companies
  • Work with Vendor Office and Global Delivery to ensure existing outsourcing processes are working smoothly and efficiently.
  • Ensure SLA and TAT adherence for offshore work.
  • Indirect supervision of offshore billing team
  • Detailed review of onshore workloads in Q2-Q3 to maximize offshore movement of work.
  • Maximizing transition of work to Cognizant while maintaining integrity

Qualifications

  • Minimum degree in accounting or finance and 3-5 years of billing / accounting experience with at least 3 years in management and supervision
  • Previous experience in researching, analyzing and solving billing issues
  • Effectively Organize and manage billing staff and workloads
  • Review work for accuracy, follow-through, falling proper policies and procedures that have been implemented for the department. Ensure employees and work are within compliance guidelines
  • Communication with team on expectations, goals and accomplishments
  • Schedule regular meetings with your subordinates and cross functions teams to determine what is going well
  • Conduct meetings with your staff, to discuss growth, achievements, change of goals or improvement areas for themselves and recommendation for departmental changes.
  • Ability to perform variance analysis
  • Well-developed personnel management and leadership experience
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, documentation skills and follow through
  • Must be able to work independently and with little supervision – must be self directed
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and respond appropriately to evolving work demands
  • Proven ability to problem solve and take appropriate actions
  • Must be detail orientated with strong analytical and mathematical abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in meeting timely objectives
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Computer proficiency advanced (Excel, Word, Access and email software)
  • Experience with Oracle Accounts Receivable and Order Management/Service Contracts preferred
  • Able to interface with various levels of personnel (internal and external)
  • Ability to work in a team environment, under pressure and meet deadlines
