We currently have an excellent career opportunity for an experienced tractor technician at our beautiful Clovis, NM terminal.


The Tractor Technician furnishes quality service to major and minor in-house repairs to the fleet in a timely and efficient manner while complying with Indian River Transport policy and procedure.


Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair all aspects of Peterbilt tractors
  • Keep a clean and organized work area
  • Continue to keep up to date on tractor repair procedures
  • Diagnose and repair Hydraulic problem
  • Charge out parts as needed
  • Tag parts for warranty and cores as needed
  • Write repair stories for warranty and all other repairs


Work Shift Availability:

  • Monday - Friday: 7am-5pm
  • Saturdays: 7am-12pm
  • 50 hours/week


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience on diesel semi-tractor maintenance and repair and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • DOT certified in FHWA Inspections & Air Brakes. (Preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must have basic computer skills and/or comfortable working with a computer.
  • Must have proper tools.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
