ONSITE -- RICHARDSON, TX
6 MONTH CONTRACT TO HIRE
A client is looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to join their onsite team in Richardson, TX. As the Desktop Support Specialist, you will be assisting internal employees with any tier 1 & 2 issues. This candidate will be setting up workstations, transferring data, backing up applications, re-imaging Dell hardware, setting up new hires and joining new hires to the domain, etc. They average working on 5-10 tickets/day that vary in difficulty. For example, you could be helping with monitors that do not work and needing to be swapped out, or dispatching calls to Dell and technicians to replace the monitors. Another scenario could be that an application is not loading or is running slow. This person will also be helping with refreshes when laptops need renewal and images need to be coordinated with the end users who are mostly internal employees. Checklists will be provided to make sure you are aligned with their processes, and you will also be paired with a senior technician to help with any issues or questions you may have. Most importantly, this person needs to be dependable and a team player. This individual must be able to go into the office daily in Richardson.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in Desktop Support role (Refresh, break/ fix, etc.)
Experience processing tickets in ServiceNow (or similar ticketing system)
Refresh experience with Dell Laptops (experience swapping out laptops that need to be renewed, coordinate delivery)
Reimaging experience with SCCM
O365 troubleshooting experience
Windows 10 experience
Active Directory experience (must be able to assign people to group memberships)
